Default Intake Baffles

I have seen alot of people talkin lately about removing there intake baffles... i was kinda lookin around at mine yesterday and was curious on A) how the heck do they come out? and B) is there much affect on mpg?

A) You can either pop the end off the tube and slide them out, or break them apart inside the tube and pull them out.

B) There is no affect on mileage...

i took mine out. didn't notice any difference in mpg. I pryed the top off gently and pulled them out. Then cut out the plastic lip on the sides of the tube and sanded it smooth. Then put it back in place
