got new pitman arm on now it doesnt turn all the way the left i think the steering spline where the pitman arm hooks moved how do i get this back like it should be?

ok got it turn both ways but steering wheel isnt straight it sits about half way off from straight any ideas?

the pitman arm must not have an alignment tooth (a fatter one the the rest) take it off again, put the steering wheel straight. jack the front of the truck up eyeball alighn it and install the pitman arm sto the wheels stay where you had the alighned at.

your arm is off a few teeth

If you have the same number of turns in both directions then just pull the steering wheel off. If you have more in one direction then pull the pitman arm off.

i wouldnt take the wheel off (because this wasnt a problem before) its the arm.

Sounds like someone didn't take note of the orientation pitman arm was to the box, or turned the steering wheel with the pitman arm off.

yea scared the hell out of me had my grandson in backseat. glad i wasnt going down the highway with him. but yes i turned the steering wheel. learning alot about rough country and other lift kits and pitman arms. they all are pretty much made by the same company kinda scary!
