Hey guys, my names Walter I currently own a 98 12v. This post is in regards to an 05 CR I am seriously interested in buying. It has the 271 manual shift transfer case in pieces behind a "semi built" auto tranny and 6" lift with 35" tires. Anyway I want you guys opinion on what I should do. I want a transfer case that can handle the occasional 4x4 launch, and honestly whatever I throw at it. I want to get something tough the fist time so I dont spend my money twice on in the long-run.

 

the 271 is plenty strong i know of plenty of 1000hp pulling trucks still running them, i would say something went seriously wrong inside that one, most likly from lack of lubrication
