how hard is it to switch a auto tranny for a 6 spd in a 04 single cad long bed?

 

find you a pedal assy. shifter, interior trim pieces, clutch master cyl., manual trans mount and plate, clutch and flywheel, reverse light sensor harness pigtail. on the vp trucks auto trans tcase and rear driveshaft yoke are smaller size, havent really paid much attention to wether common rail drivelines are all the same but something to think about. id stick with the auto though. Manuals are becoming a thing of the past.

you can make an auto do the same. autos are getting popular in pulling, youre not confined to one gear wich helps keep vehicle speed up while keeping the truck on top of the turbo and in its power band

 

very simple if you have a donor truck and you can get a recovery program for smarty to make it run right, it also turns the gear selector off on cluster, i found someone wanting to go auto and swap everything with him and did all labor for the cost difference as far as int. pieces i didnt have to change anything but the cover on steering column.
