Default Going to look at an 06 mega cab

Ok so I'm going to look at an 06 3500 4x4 megacab ..... What are some of the things I need to look at/into when looking at buying one of these trucks...? Good/bad/ins/and outs..... You know things you need to check b4 buying.....?
Any help is much appreciated... Oh yea the truck is at a car lot (not my favorite way to buy)... And it had 105k miles on it..
Thanx

one of the things that would concern me is the injectors. clean water free fuel helps them live longer. check the front end wear too.

MY 2006 mega has 84000 on it. Been through both back door wire looms replacing broken wires. Gone through the whole front end as it was shot, including upper and lower ball joints, steering gear box, shocks. Some of this is normal wear, some caused by oversize tires (I believe) and got rid of the crappy azz lift blocks the previous owner installed. Other than that it's been a great outfit. All of my previous cummins had crappy front ends and the broken wires are an easy fix. Also had to do the heater treater to my hvac doors. Not enough to deter me from buying. As dieselpap stated, there are injector troubles with some of these pickups.

I was looking at an 06 3500 Mega a little while back. Really nice truck, but couldn't come to terms with the dealer, so we walked. Found a really nice 2500 Quadcab for a LOT less and bought it. As an aside, it is a bit more expensive in some states to plate (register) a 1-ton rated truck.

leakin injectors have sometimes hard start issues after the truck is hot. just test drive it and start it up several times. like luke just asked about the tranny. if its auto check it out too. thats about all you can do.
