I have a 2005 Dodge ram 2500 4dr 4wd. auto, with edge juice programer. Recently my airbag light came on and I took it to dealer and they said that they could not read code due to the programer and that if they tried to force it it could erase or damage ECU. Has anyone had this issue and how do I find out what is causing the airbag light to be on.

 

I have the same issue with mine... sometimes. I had a friend of mine read it with his fancy snap-on reader that can just about do anything but make a sandwich. It didn't come up with anything. He was suspecting an issue with the seat belt plug under the driver seat but i never really pursued it. The light goes out and stays out for a while after I reprogram it.

 

How do you reprogram it is it with the reader or is there another way?

 

No. Every time I put a new tune in with the Smarty. I'm interested in what would cause this because I also still have the EDGE hooked up yet. I don't run a tune with it, only for gauges. Maybe perhaps the edge is screwin with the system?? Sounds really stupid but maybe??
