Default NV 5600

Hey guys, I'm just curious if you guys are satisfied with the NV 5600 maunual transmission. I have the ZF6 right now and I have a severe dislike for it, and I know several people who dislike it too. I found a company who makes a kit to put it behind a powerstroke. Has any one heard of Geartech Heavy Duty?

I love my NV 4500 and I have heard nothing but good about the 5600s. If you have the coin I say give it a shot.

well it's a ford... no speed here!! what's wrong with reverse down and left? my ZF6 is up and left. i found a company that advertises them as HDNV5600. what about the input shaft? 1.375 seems a little small. and i found a chart compaing them and the speed per RPM are pretty close.

Just make sure you do your research with the HDNV5600 and if it looks like a viable option for you do it. I personally haven't heard about them nor have I heard any positive or negative feedback about them.

The gears are pritty close but you get used to it, reverse being all the way to the right and up is inconvenient, but there strong as heck, the stock clutch isnt good for much more power than stock though.

A G5600. New Venture (NV) went out of business a good while back.
