My rear driver door will not turn the interior lights on. Any clue where the switch/sensor is on it and what I might need to check or fix.

 

did you check the other doors and see if the lights come on.Do you have the interior lights dimmed all the way down.I did that once and thought my interior lighting was out but it was just that i had turned the little dimmer dial to off.Is just below the head light switch on a 06.

 

All the other doors work good. Just the rear driver don't light em up. There's gotta be a switch or something in the door that's gone bad. Idk.

 

Chances are it is a broken wire. Dodges are notorious for having wires damaged in the rear doors.

No prob, check right in the hinge itself. The doors open so wide they crack and break there.

 

My speaker in the drivers rear door didnt work and I took out the rubber grommet and inside that the wires were literally pulled apart. There were a total of 3 wires that were broken that I had to fix. Now I have a similar problem. There is no lights or power anywhere in the cab unless the key is turned on. However, sometimes the interior lights come on when I open the drivers door, or any other door for that matter, but 80 percent of the time, theres nothing. It looks as if i have a broken wire somewhere else as well. Good luck in finding the issue......
