Anybody know if you can run an older style cummins engine in the 04 frame? need to replace or rebuild engine. Thought it might be nice to get rid of some of the electronics on the 04. I have talked to some local rebuiders and they dont want to get involved with the electronics. If the problem is a broken valve, piston or whatever, why would the electronics scare mechanics away? Very frustrated, any ideas?
Cummins service dept. here in Atlantic Canada does not want to look at it either
