I'd like the 6 speed, but I'd have to show my wife how to drive it. We'll see what happens, I'd like to get the manual but may have no choice but to get the auto. We shall see.

I wouledent buy a truck over 03 unless you going to delete the EGR system. Waste of time a money and power.

 

I thought EGR was only on 6.7? My boss has a 6.7 and told me to start pricing parts to remove EGR, filter and a programmer. He gets around 10-12 mpg with it but pulls trailer alot. I like my 5.9, no major problems. I bought it with 96,000 and so far I have replaced tranny cooler (leak) all U-joints in drive shafts and before winter plan to rebuild front end. Have lots on a wish list, but drives great and finally got the programmer set to where I seem to get the best milage, around 19 avg.

 

yea the my 07 5.9 doesnt have an EGR. It's anything newer than 07.5. Sorry you are a bit misinformed.
