This happened just before Christmas, I was finishing up some shopping, I had stopped at my last stop for the night looking for that infamous last minute gift for the wife. I ran into the store, came back out............................................... .................................................. .....
Walked to my truck (yes it's still there) put the keys in the ignition cranked her over and sat there contemplating on the amount of money I spent on my wife again this year, when the truck shuts off. "What the hay" crank her over again, it fires runs again for 3 second and shuts off, this time with check engine light left on after it shuts off.

I had just done a oil change on it before I came to town so I assume the worst, I check the oil thinking that I got in a hurry and forgot to but the plug back in. Nop oils good along with all the other fluids. Get back in try three or four more times with no luck.

So being very frustrated at this point I phone 1888come get me. Off to the dealership I go following the tow truck. 1hr later they come and tell me that my truck went into "shutdown mode" the damn thing thought I was stealing it. Dealership said I must have tryed starting it with the wrong key. We straighted that out in a hurry, came to town with one set and left with one set.

 

Ouch! thats nuts! expecially when the truck thinks its smarter than you!
