I found a 2005 Dodge ram quad cab, leather, 5.9l Auto, Industrial Injection Turbo, lift, rims, edge programer, exhaust, etc with 170,000 miles for $15500. The transmition has been rebuilt and has larger valve bodies.

Is this a good deal or should I keep looking.

Doesnt seem like a horrible price to me... Did you drive it? How does the trans feel. Regardless with all that done to it, if he is just running a valve body the trans is gonna slip eventually.

 

It seems to drive fine,
is there anything in particular I need to look out for diesel related since this is my first diesel.

 

There is PLENTY to look out for...particularly on a modified truck.

PS--I drive a 2005 Ram 2500 4x4 and I LOVE it. Best sport/work truck I have ever had. And I have even started modifying it. That being said, would likely NOT buy a CTD that someone else modified. Would also look for a truck with COMPLETE maintenance records.
