Default 06 turbo on an 04?

I have access to a 06 tubo, I was wondering if it would fit on my 04? Any help will be appreciated.

2003-2004 had he341 turbo and 2004.5-early 07 had he351 turbo(slightly larger housing), been doing some research myself and should bolt straight up and just modify the boost elbow to adjust your boost, 2004.5 and up electronic:2003-2004 mechanical. Easy modification

The 04.5 and up have a 60mm comp wheel and the 03-04 have 54mm wheels. It is a straight swap except the wastegate. ATS sells a plug for the wastegate solenoid that can be drilled and tapped for a boost elbow. I did this swap on a friends truck and it pulls harder and cools a little better, The only cons are is it has slightly more lag and it doesn't whistle as much as the 341 did.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the input. I bought the plug and the adjustable boost elbow, installed the turbo and I can only boost 30PSI with the boost elbow fully closed. What should I expect with the 06 turbo and what are some common areas that are prone to boost leak?
