Hahaha, yeah gotta love em. I was doin 45-60 up hills. 3 speed auto with overdrive and 4.56 gears. Torquey for a truck with spark plugs but wouldn't pass newer diesels up hills.

So what's the best modds for better fuel economy?

I'm looking into doin a 5" exhaust(mostly for tha sweet sweet sound and lower egt's)

Best I got stock was 20 at 55-60mph. I have not measured since I've gotten the Edge but should do that one of these days.

I'm averaging 18mpg all around. Been better, been worse. It doesn't help I lug around a couple thousand lbs in the bed full time. My sweet spot is 65mph for milage with the G56 and 3.73's.

Cold air intake, free up the exhaust, and put an airdog or fass on it. That'll net you a gain of about 10% on mpg. A progammer will help too, after the newness wears off, and you resume to driving in a civilized manner. I'm getting about 22 empty, and 12-14 pulling. oh- don't use the cruise control in mountain areas, just consistant pedal pressure, and keep the rpm's below 2100.

Default Whats your best MPG?

I have a 5000 mile road trip coming up October, I'm pcs'ing from anchorage Alaska to San Antonio Texas. Plan to make it in 9 days. I'll be pulling a 32' gooseneck cattle hauler with most of my house hold goods. I will take pictures along the way and let you know how it goes. I know I won't get the best MPG, but it's not miles per gallon that matter but "smiles per gallon" ha ha
