Hey guys,
This is my first post here. I've been reading over tons of posts and tried the search function and came up empty handed. I have an '06 that I'm thinking has to have the tranny rebuilt. Just wondering if there's any specific shops in Phoenix that you guys have used and had good luck with. I'm sure there's some out there, but I'm trying to do some homework on this first before I just drop my truck off anywhere. Thanks much!

I realized I left out some info. The only mods to my truck are a Superchips tuner and it's straight piped. I need a performance rebuild, not a stock one. I don't drag race and am generally pretty easy on the truck, but sometimes you just have to humiliate that little ricer next to you

 

Do you have any wrench skills? If so call Dave at Goerend!

 

Believe me, i'm considering that. My main concern is any warranty issues I might have. That's why i'm leaning towards a local shop.

 

Fred Swanson is your man. He's way out in the west valley but he builds a mean transmission. A friend from work had his done about six months ago and it's awesome. Whenever mine lets go or I can convince the wife to let me, he'll be building me a transmission. BTW he uses DTT parts. If you call DTT asking about builders in Phoenix they will suggest him.

 

Dennys Transmissions on Central in Phoenix. They built up a tranny for my work truck, and one for my brother in laws 6.0.
