Ok, my cruise quit

When i hit the cruise "on" button the light on the dash says "cruise" but when i hit "set" nothing happens. I had the same thing happen on my '98 and it was a vaccuum line, but i figure these things are all electronic now, but i really have no idea.

could be in the switch .......or my bet wo9uld be the clock spring inside the wheel

 

No, thats much too expensive to be the problem. It must cost me less than $20 to fix, thats the rules

Nope, 160k miles. Do you know if the cruise system has vacuum lines like on 2nd gens?

 

I dont think so............all electronic to the best of my knowlege.......but I have been wron b4

 

Mine did the same thing, i replaced the brake switch and did nothing i found out if i pulled up on the brake pedal with my foot it would work,... sounds cheesy but it worked for me.
