Default Low Boost

I installed a Banks Six Gun Bundle on my truck about a month ago. The other day the connection between my intercooler and the air intake to my turbo blew off. I reattached it but now I can only get 17lbs of boost max, and that is only when I accelerate very hard. I was getting 24-25. Under normal driving I am only getting 3-5 lbs. I got a code on the Banks IQ that says boost is in low range.

Does anybody have an idea what might be wrong? Wastegate problem? I don't know much about diesels. Thanks for any help.

Alot of smoke? Sounds like you have a boost leak somewhere! Did you hear a hiss after you fixed it?

No smoke, no real loss in mileage still over 21 mpg. Just noticeable loss in power. I haven't noticed a hiss anywhere but I don't hear those kinds of sounds to well. I will check some more. Thanks

Definitely sounds like a boost leak. I'd check all the clamps on your intercooler boots and probably take the one that blew back off, clean the areas where it makes contact (on the pipe and boot) and spray some cheap hairspray on it and put it back on. This will help it to seal and prevent it from blowing off again.

Hey guys thanks for your help, the problem is fixed! It must have been leaking from the time I installed the tuner, I am getting upto 35lbs of boost now and it has made a noticeable difference. Thanks for the advice.
