Default Got my 05!!

I sold my 97 2500 and got a 05 2500. Has 77000 miles and is still under factory warranty. Any suggestions on what i can or should do to the motor? Nothing majos, i'm just talking about maybe a programmer for fuel or other realatively cheap things along those lines??

Thanks

Is this warranty the cummins engine warranty or the warranty for the entire truck?

BTW, I think that truck was the better buy than the 04. Congrats.

by the way be careful with tuning truck as it can void warranty.

Thanks guys. To, "HAULITRIGHT", I am pretty sure the warranty is for the entire truck. I got word that I might be able to go back to the factory for additional coverage for a few hundred bucks. With the high cost to repair these things, unlike my 97, I might find a way to do that. Thats one thing i miss about my 97. Didnt cost much for upgrades.

Is the predator undetectable as well? I have heard that it is, but have seen nothing from the manufacturer that can confirm that. i was thinking of putting the predator with the power puck. Any thoughts?? Overkill??

I've had a puck and predator stack since I've had my truck, the puck has been sent in twice for repair and not impressed with the programmer, I just recently hooked up the puck again and within a day its throwing codes.

There are better options for the money and unless you have mods to support a stack it not worth the headache!!!

Stick with the Smarty IMO, they claim it is undetectable!!

I would get the Smarty. My buddy actually just sold his. On his highway trip to South Carolina. He got 27mpg on level 7 with stock gears, 35 in. tires and a leveling kit. The other weekend we were out hotrodding around all night. I went and filled it up the next morning and topped it off with ~10gallon. We got about 20.5mpg with stock gears, 4 in. lift, and 35 in. tires. I was impressed. I was raggin on her pretty hard. I would def. go with the Smarty. It also wont let you hot rod the truck until its partially warmed up. I wouldnt however drive the truck hard in any level over 3.

Well, I got the smarty and I currently have it on Level 3. Everything is stock and that is where it is going to stay till I get some tranny upgrades. Its only got 77000 miles on it. I'd hate to rip out the tranny right now, besides, I don't have the money to replace it if it were to go out. I kicked it down last night to go around a guy and I broke traction, so I think I'm good for a while.....
