Default 04 cummins using oil?

Ive got an 04 2500 cummins andi have noticed its using oil. Last week i checked it just because, and it wasabout 2qts low. I know i need to change the oil but i thought it was odd. Then today i checked it andits on the bottom of the add mark. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this? Its winter and i cant tell its smoking anymore than normal. However the other day i heard a squeeling comming from the turbo possibly? Shut the truck off and started it up and it was normal. Ive gone 600 miles on it since then and no noises. It leaks a little i see small spots on the driveway dime sized over a week i suppose. I need help.

check the front of the engine for oil. the bolts come loose on the front structure and the cam gear will throw oil out but only at higher rpms. mine was doing that. could pull the intake side of the turbo off and check make sure the shaft dosn't have play and its not going into the intake side
