I am redoing my nv 4500 5 speed trans out of my 2003 dodge and i was just wounding if any one could tell me what kind of fluid i should put in it

 

Castrol Syntorq - 1 gallon

I believe amsoil has the proper oil for it also.

 

i had good luck with the amsoil stuff, not to mention its cheaper.

i have found that the castrol is kinda hard to find, royal purple also make a fluid with the correct ratings and compatability to work with the nv4500 thats what i use i found it at my local autozone. nothing against amsoil but its just a little out of my price range. makesure you get the correctfluid though, ive read horror stories about people running the wrong thing in them.

 

The Amsoil is half the price that the Castrol is. Its not very expensive.

 

I got recommended to run 5 quarts not 4.

Pennzoil 75w90 full-synthetic will work well also...we have a batch of 75w90 RP we are going to try eventually.
