Default 2004.5 Cummins 5.9

I am a first time diesel owner. I bought a 2004.5 Cummins 5.9. What are the good and bad points of this truck.

You have a great truck! Some of the more common issues would be front wheel bearings (mine went out @ 85k), steering slop, weak trans if you turn up the power, wipers with a mind of their own, etc. IMO, all very minor things for what the truck is!

Thank you very much, I am a first time diesel owner, bought this to pull my camper. A 33 ft fifth wheel, about 12,000 lbs, seems to do a great job.

Its a cummins, there are no bad points The only thing that you may have a problem with is trans if your planning on building the motor (as stated before). And possibly components in the front end suspension may become a bit worn.. Sounds like a nice truck though. Congrats

The problem I see is you may find this truck has too much power for pulling the camper you have and be forced to buy a larger one.
