crappy AAM axle u-joints

spicer does make a replacement for axle joints. a 5-806 spicer was used up to 02 those are a 1480 wheel joint. an aam is a 1485 wheel joint thats why they are .010 different. the spicer part number for the aam ft is a 500...... number i cant think of it off the top of my head......i will have to look when i go to work today.
you bring up a good point about the .010 because the same can be said about the drive shaft. a 1480 joint is .010 wider from outside of cap to cap then the 1485 aam driveshaft. thats why when you put replacement joints in from napa or where ever the snap rings are bulging way out and tons of ppl say there shaft then has a vibration.......for some reason thats kinda hit or miss. sadly the only correct replacement joint for the driveshaft is the aam joint.
