i have a 2004 and at first it didnt want to go into park on the column but te trans was in park, it did this for about a week now it slips into netural whenever it feels like it but when it pulls it is very strong. it feels like the torque converter is going out except it pulls strong. also the gas pedal will only let me go half way down.

 

get the rock out from behind the pedal! Sounds like the cable needs to be adjusted for the shifter.

also sounds like truck is in limp mode. is your truck throwing any codes. also agree with the linkage adjustment.
