Another possibility for the computer is to just change out OEM ECM's. All the manual ECM would have to have programmed in it is the 'new' vehicles VIN. I wish I could remember which ECM I preferred (And that was just because the only visible difference was in the crisp-ness of how it controlled the engine. I just don't remember which one I liked best . . . ) I think it was the auto ECM that is quicker in it's engine controlling. What are the differences or reasons to switch them anyway? |
If his friend has a smarty Bob will send a update via Email that will fix all the problems swapping from a auto to manual. Its easier than trying to swap harnesses and computers. the update also turns off the auto portion and gear selection on the dash :c:
