It's a regular occurrence for me to get stuck in my own driveway with 4x4 and 33" tires. Stupid snow and their stupid drifts!

OMG! I got my truck Friday and I get terrible mpg!!
I'm lucky to get 70 miles per 1/4 tank. That's normal driving too.
Something needs to be changed asap!

My '92 Cummins seemed to get better mpg even though I drove the hell out of it and that truck is low-geared too!

When I got my 06 it got 15mpg and thats a 4X4 6spd g56. i put a k&n intake and removed the silencer ring and straight piped it and put a set of 33s on it and now i get about 20-22mpg. the exhaust on these trucks are very restrictive especial with the cat get rid of that crap and u should notice a difference

We removed the exhaust, like...day 2 of having it b/c I thought it would be louder but isn't really. We're gonna remove the resonator or cat (whichever it may have) that's before where the muffler was.
But I ordered a delete pipe and a MBRP muffler 2 days ago. I've been looking at intakes but it'll have to wait til after Christmas or so.
The other day, I filled up and now I'm on half-tank. Did mostly highway miles and it looks like I'm getting about 17.1 mpg. It looked better when I calculated off of 1/4 of a tank...

Ya get rid of the cat it will sound a lot better and get better fuel mileage. I wouldn't waste money on a muffler just my opinion. You can take the silencer ring out at anytime. Keep the 12valve if you can you will miss it.

Heck empty summer Hwy driving in my 2006 QC 4x4 gets 18-20 mpg so a 2 wheel drive should get better mpg then I do.
