If one was to have all the correct pieces,how hard is the swap?

If money is no object just buy a new truck! Should take a week Having a wrecked truck would be great to look at how it's wired!

it is somewhat hard i had to take it to a shop for them to flash my computer to a 6 speed. you will need to shorten the driveshaft also. you arent really going to be as fast anymore either just because it is a truck tranny but i love it now with the stick. Don't be fooled if you have any mechanic skills its easy I did a 48re to g56 in my 04 in 2day out in a gravel alley (daully don't fit in garage) call gos performance they handle reflash all you need is trans t case pedal hydros cluthch flywheel shifter transmount will work abs is fine strip the auto parts out of the truck I have push button start easy to do drive shaft works if 2 piece front needs to be 2 inch longer that's all it is trust me I daily drive my swap truck

not hard at all just did the nv5600 swap in my 01. You can do it in a weekend granted you have all of the parts ready to go,but you will have to by pass the nuteral safety switch if not it won't start

Or unplug the yellow starter wire by batt run power to push buttonand back to yellow wire IE push button start

Alright guys thanks for all the info, only down side is that I'm out here in Hawaii,currently in the process of openin my own shop with some help from brice at bbd and jason who used to run diesel nut motorsports so support isnt and issue. Now the parts are, so if anyone can find these back in the state please pm me with a price and of course a slight finders fee is in order aswell. Thanks Ken

tried, pm you but i kinda suck at computer stuff. anyway i want to do this swap soon and wanted to get as much info i could for as little down time possible, thanks
