theres a place here in western pa that will sell everything to change from an auto to manual for 3500-4000 i think it includes everything except the drive shaft IIRC

i was wondering about this as well. can i mate a 4bt to a 48re or nv5600? or should i forget the 4bt and just put in a 5.9?

i need some pointers on this conversion

A 4BT mates up to a Chevy transmission. You may get better info in the Diesel Conversion section.

I do qa g56 over the nv5600 they seem to shift smoother. And i did a zf6 swap into a ford in a weekend. If you have all the pieces they are not bad to do

Which should be used g56 or NV are rear end gears the same as a manual

From what I hear the NV5600 is the way to go due to the simple fact that its a Cast Iron housing compared to the G56 which is in fact a Cast Aluminum housing. The Nv5600 is just stronger in general from what I hear.

Stronger doesn't mean jack if you can't get parts for them...being the NV5600 has been out of production for nearly ten years, the parts are getting more difficult to find.

More $$$ too. G56 parts are definitely cheaper I see that by just looking around Harder to locate anything for NV5600.
