Hey all I am about to buy a 05 CR it has been wrecked and still looks OK
it was in a head on with something and then flipped on driver side

it is a 2005 CTD 4x4 4 door long bed 6 speed

it has 35,000 miles and NO Tranny it dose have the T-Case

my idea I want to put the axles suspension motor and T-case in a 1st gen body that I have here I want to make a sled puller it dose come with a suncoast tranny that is blown up (bad clutches they say) is this something that can be done fairly easy or will it be a PITA? whats involved in getting a CR to run on a stand with the ECM and all or can you make them run like a 12V with 1 wire? what should i look for when buying?

I will not say what it cost or where it is but it is a steal and I would like some opinions

Not as simple as a 12v! You'll have to use the ecm and probably guage cluster. But hey you can get 4k just for the motor! And use the other stuff. Call suncoast and see how much to rebuild the tranny. They have horrible warranty but maybe they will cut a deal since it's their tranny. The truck doesn't look that bad maybe 10 to 15k to fix? That's a route also!

I think it is a waste of your time, you should tell me where it is, so I can take it in for scrap value.

But in all seriousness, I would take all the electronics and swap them over too. A body is a body, don't matter. As far as the tranny goes, get to a reputable tranny builder, and get them to go through it all, and replace anything that is pooched, and run it. (cheaper than a new tranny)

Sell all remaining parts from the dodge to supplement the cost of the transmission repair.

OK I know it's a long shot, but I gotta ask. I am searching for the fan relay(or whatever you want to call it), for a 3rd Gen truck. All that I really need is the piece that mounts between the front of the Engine and the fan at the bottom of the block and then sticks up about half way to the top of the engine. Somehow the one on my 04.5 got the end of it clipped off, so now my fan does not kick on. I am sure the rest of the fan is fine I just need the stupid sensor and the only way Dodge sells it is with the whole fan assembly which they want a MINT for. Any chance the one on this truck is good and you would be willing to sell it??
