Default A/C problems

Last week my A/c in my truck started acting funny. It would blow cold air only on the drivers side of the truck, then after about 20-30 minutes it would start blowing cold on the passenger side (not quite as cold as the drivers side). Didn't make any difference what setting I had it on (dash, floor, combo, recirc, etc.) Anybody have a clue as to why this is happening?

Mine did the exact same thing, go to autozone and get a recharge kit, it blows ice box cold again. I believe what happens is that the low pressure in freon, causes a too big of a drop of pressure when it goes form high pressure to low pressure and causes it to create an ice block and you only get air flow through half of it.

Thanks guys... I was wondering if I had a blockage or some kind of valve wasn't working properly.

Do you have dual climate control? (2 slider ***** for hot and cold, passanger and driver)

mine did it before and it was a piece of the flap that opens and closes from wherever your wanting the air to go and the plastic piece that turns the flap in there soon broke after i pulled it out and it worked fine you just wont have the recirculated air

I had the same issues, when you turn it on the drivers side was plenty cool but the passengers side was warm until around 20 minutes later then it would finally get to the same temperature. Turns out it was around 1lb low...all good now
