Major Truck Problem! R.I.P TRANSFOMER
Hey guys Its my first thread and its not a good one.. I own a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9L. I recently put bad fuel in the tank. It was running fine until it started losing power then the exhaust got extremely loud. After I turned it off it would not turn back over. I drained the intire tank and put new fresh diesel back in. Tried starting it and nothing.. Sprayed some engine starter in my intake tube and BOOM It cranked up alright until the RPM's went through the roof and it was white smoking clouds. I turned the key off immediatly to find out it is still roaring with no key in the ignition!! I hopped out the truck and started backing away in case it blew up or something. It finally just shut off after about 7secs. I didn't know what was going on! I let the truck sit for about 13hrs then tried to start it up again and IT DID IT AGAIN! I ran this time with the key in my hand because it was even louder and more smoke! After that I said no more. Me and my buddy just towed it across town to the #1 Diesel Mechanic in the state of MS. Im hoping for the best but expecting the worse,You guys have any Idea what is wrong?

Im not sure whats wrong yet but my mechanic said it smells and looks like there was unleaded fuel in it. They are flushing the tank and engine tomorrow and putting fresh diesel in. I HOPE & PRAY IT STARTS! He also said if the engine is ?ruined? I would have to buy a whole new engine because they do not sell internal parts for the 5.9 24V cummins
I really do not think the engine could be blown from the unleaded fuel and a little bit of engine starter. Im no mechanic but I believe the turbo is sucking oil from somewhere. Ill just wait and see
Thanks for all the replies, Selby.
