Default Oil Leak

im gunna fix an o6 that is leaking in the front, how hard is it to change the front cover gasket?

First find out exactly where the leak is! Then if it has to come off Pull the fan and shroud off Radiator and all the front engine attachments. Not fun but has to be done!
Some things are worth paying someone else to do!

is it very time consuming? its on my bosses truck and he just told me that its leaking in the front some where, so i was figuring that its gotta be the front cover or crank seal,

Hey if he trusts you enough to tear into his truck and your getting paid for it go for it!! Order the gaskets and seal kit so there is no down time!

is there a gasket for the front cover? a guy at a local shop told me that all they use is silicon??? is there any other gaskets or seals besides the front cover and crank seal?
i was guna pressure wash it and take a better look at it 2day but i couldnt pry it out of his hands
