Mine runs just above the middle line at operating temp. I stuck an oil pressure gauge at the filter housing, and it was 20 at operating temp. So in other words, get a gauge.

I have never had something happen like this before. But I have allways bought new Dodges Diesels and did not worry about how people took care of the motor.
