early 04 dodge 2500 power loss
04 dodge 2500 qcsb mostly stock except for 4" banks monster exaust turbo back, and banks cold air box. Have owned it for about a year and a half and am starting to see and feel fuel and power loss. I keep it well maintained. Just last week changed the fuel filter which had only been in for 5000 miles and cleaned the air filter. The truck has almost 110,000 miles and milage has droped to about 13 mpg. I feel it most starting out form a stop sign and have noticed it smokes alot more than normal. The fuel milage isent that big of a deal since its mainly a work truck and when its low on fuel I fill it up. But have really noticed power loss when hauling the skid around or tool trailer. Was told recently an aftermarket lift pump may be the remedy, but dont want to spend 500 on a guess. Any body out out there have any ideas? Open to hear anything that may help. Maby one of yas has had a similar problem. Thanks Tim
I was gonna suggest changing the fuel filter, but looks like you already did that... I'd hate to tell you to start throwing parts at it, but that's probably what I would do. I am sure someone here can hazard a better guess than I could.
