2007 dodge ram 2500 cummins 5.9 gettin injector circut #6 code po206. What could this be the wiring under the valve cover or the actual injector. the dealer has it now but they said cuase i have the edge box on it that it it is the injector that failed it might not be covered. the want 1200 for one injector, thats bull$hit. if thats the case ill buy new set of 6 aftermarket 50hp ones. but i hope its just the wiring. Any feedback?

BTW, I had all 6 injectors and tubes + labor, and it only ran me $4000. Which in turn equals only $650/injector. I think they are trying to rake you over the coals.

What kind of Edge box is it, EZ or Juice??

 

The $1200 could be one of the new stainless steel body injectors also. Need to clarify that with them.

The usual cause is a bad solenoid on the injector, but, a bad connection or VC gasket wire can also cause it. There is a set of test procedures detailed in the FSM to trouble shoot it and the dealer needs to run those tests to verify. Occasionally its a bad harness connector that is causing it.

If you have a box that is tapping into the injector harness it could be the box also. Need to remove it first and check for the same codes. The Edge boxes are a bit notorious for causing issues when they are not quite right.
