yes.. coming from a dealer, and being that new, there should be some kind of warranty on it... def. check with them on it, and make sure its set in stone.

The Banks setup that came on my 03 worked flawlessly and made good power 881 ftlbs at the rear tires. I liked that box over the Smarty I'm runnin currently because of the rail pressure is smoother and faster to come on and has way more but it still within the safe operating parameters of the injection system. I love my Smarty don't get me wrong it just needs more pressure sooner. Also I'm willing to bet if it has all of that stuff on it, it would also have the Banks converter in it as well. It'd be easy to tell, just pull off the inspection cover on the tranny. Talk to them about the warranty but I wouldn't think twice about not buying it if I wanted it, it's a good setup.

The problem now is it is a private seller....Dont know what his reasoning is for selling. I spose a dealership would laugh me off the lot rolling up with that thing talking about warranty....

If this truck was turned back to stock would the banks programing still be detectable? I have heard the smarty leaves no traceable foot print? Is this the only programmer that can do this?

If it's the truck you want I'd buy it. Like I said Banks worked great on my truck and caused no problems.

You guys must have some awful dealerships out there! The dealership out here doesn't really care what is on your rig...if you broke something, and you are still under warranty, they fix it. Hell-they even warranty the parts they replaced for 60,000mi.
Be careful with the Edge products-I've cracked 3 injectors due to excessive rail pressures. (yeah, they were warrantied, even though the programmer was still velcro'd to the fusebox lid.)
As for the Banks systems, Gale Banks has more time in research and diesel tuning than anyone else. Regarding their warranty program, I'd say they aren't much different than the others. Their stuff is just too damn pricey for what it does.
