Most likely those are asphatenes - normal occurrying in diesel fuel....

but, what the hell do I know?? ....people on internet forums dont know anything.

BTW, that is no good reason to not warranty a pump. I would document this all, send it to DC along with a well worded letter (nice but firm) and they might give you some money back. I would ask for them to return the $ for the price of the lift pump and labour.

I didn't even have any water in the tank, I haven't been into to many tanks, but I going to expect some material in the tank. that's why they don't draw off the bottom but leave some fuel in the tank.

There nothing there and what was got stopped by the filter on the lift pump, I can't believe I made three calls to Dodge and never got a call back and when I did call they just said the case was closed, fuel damage, WTF, yea they really want me to buy another Dodge.

But I hope I can find someone to help me , I thought they used to have Reps to help customers, but I guess it's just to easy to say good bye to customers.

Time for Ford to put a cummins in their trucks, hell a lot of ford owners have allready put cummins in theirs, but they would take over the market if they offered a CTD Ford.

Oh almost forgot I was talking to a guy on the pontoon forum and he said I have a 2008 dodge with the 6.7 last trip the catalyst full light went on ,was told it was water in fuel it , my bill was 2148.63 to get my truck back!! Truck only had 5000 miles on it . sounds like we need a class action suit, but then only the laywers would get the money.

Nope just one of many, but you do have to watch and be on your toes, one day we checking the 16 baits we had out and got a 8 footer at 9am , shot and cut his spinal cord, at 2 pm while pulling them out of the big water melon box we were using to keep them out of the sun, he was under 12 gators and we were each grabbing 2 legs on either side and throwing them in the cooler trailer, we had the 8 footer at head height when his used the last of his life to turn and tried to bite both of us, we dropped him and I grabbed the head and held the mouth shut while my brother cut him again.

Your Welcome just some of the ways my truck is used for fun.

Oh putting this dog on is fun and I'm taking step by step pictures to make it easier for the next guy, biggest thing is figuring out where to hang the pump and make the hole for the sippy straw and making sure there not in the way.

You know I wish I had another set of mounted tires right now, I would hook a temporary tank to the pump and run across the street and do a burn out and smoke them out and come back and change tires and go back to working on the tank on the saw horses
and wait for the cops to take an half hour to get there, and say it wasn't me man, here's my fuel tank, won't run without fuel

For your straw, be a good flat spot near the opening where the stock pump slips into.

When you prime the system, be sure to stick the end of the hose in an empty jug and NOT left loose on the fitting on the CP3. Makes a big mess.
