towing twins or a good single towing turbo
I'm trying to find out what kind of luck and experience anyone has had with a towing twin set up, which ones spooled to quick or too slow and my main concern is egt's. which ones helped and which ones didnt thanks
i got a smarty tnt and a predator pressure box stacked. but i'm not lookin to be fast im just going for mpg and egt's. it's a welding truck so it pretty heavy. how much did you pay for your setup
Without "other mods" a larger single or twins will present more lag.
If you haven't dropped coin on a Cold Air Intake, (CAI) then go with twins. a little more money, but it's money spent in the right direction for you.
There seems to be a movement toward the Garrett Turbos for twin applications to reduce lag.
I went with a larger single because it was attainable with my financial situation.
Good luck!

the ATS towing twin set-up uses this 2000 and 3000 series turbo's i believe... quick spool with 45ish psi in the higher psi ranges... visit their site and check it all out, they explain everything pretty clearly, plus from everything i've seen... they're purple... or you could just get one ATS turbo and then nick name your truck the one eyed (turbo), one horned (intake), flying (b/c its so damn fast now) purple people eater... just a thought, and its been a long day
