That's truck number 2 in about a month isn't it. Some people go their whole life without breaking a Cummins and the pair has managed to do it in about a month. We should have an award for that or something.

Bummer. Yeah, no oil would do that. Of course, my guess is that if Dodge would put a REAL oil pressure gauge in, then you would have had some advance warning of low oil pressure and could have saved the motor. With the stock oil pressure sensor being a 6 psi switch, well, by 6psi I expect damage is done.


So, did it seize up or come apart? Will it crank over?

Have you looked at getting a used motor? Quite abit cheaper and straight bolt in. I know there are a few around the Alberta region. And the prices are actually pretty decent.
