It's kinda strange, but when I open the door of my truck the interior lights only stay on for 5-10 seconds. Before it would stay on for a few minutes. They will stay on with the truck runnin though.Any ideas? Thanks

Mine does the same thing, I didn't find anything in the owners manual. Did you have the dealer flash your computer lately? It seems to me that it started when the dealer reflashed my computer to help with a starter issue.

yes, the dealer can flash the truck and fix this. My wifes megacab was doing this and the dealer knew exactly what i was talking about. I think they said it was an instrument or overhead console flash thing,, ?? Anyway it fixed it.

For some reason this is common with the 06's, mine did it and a few of my friends trucks as well.

If you want to save yourself the aggravation of going to the dealer, just disconnect the neg. terminals for 10 minutes, when you hook them back up the dome lights will work like they should.

Mikeshauling,

Is your wifes Mega an 06?......every RAM that had this problem was an 06, maybe it only works on the 06 model year trucks?

Then again.....I may be full of crap! LOL

My 06 was flashed to correct a trailer light issue, then the interior light issue started. Pain in the... but when the dealer reflashed with an update, all problems corrected. Boy do I miss my '95
