I just replaced my front u joints at around 64k.. my ball joints werent bad so i didnt mess with them.. it wasnt as big of a pain as some make it out to be... one useful tool is a slide hammer. That made getting the hubs out pretty easy... And alot of PB blaster.. I couldnt see paying someone several hundred dollars to do something like that... much less i dont like anyone else working on my truck...

also look at or buy a service manual... it helped me alot.. someone sent me a service manual for my truck in an email and it helped a bunch
