Default thinkin about new front bumper

thinking about installing a new front bumper, three of my friends have hit deer recently like within the last 4 months, so i figure its only a matter of time before i get nailed...

what kind of bumpers do you guys recommend? i only know of a few companies so any help would be greatly apprectiated.

i like the ranchhand, not fond of road armor, or buckstop

thx, Matt

Too bad you are that far from Texas.

Ranch Hand was too rich for me. I went with a Ranch Hand knock off and saved hundreds. Iron Horse is a local bumper company that manufactures front and rear bumbers. You can not tell the difference between the 2 companies unless you know them.

Tough Country is another bumper but I did not care for their design. Hope this helps.

I'm trying to talk myself out of either the buckstop or trailready, I need to put that money into something else like a torque converter and VB. I need more money, or a job. Sorry for the thinking out loud, I'm tired.:m:

The ones you mentioned...there's also Fab Fours, Brown's Manufacturing, and Tough Country.

I have a Ranch Hand Bullynose...I like it a lot...haven't tested it on a deer yet but have on many small trees and such...works well for me!

Don't forget the aluminum bumpers. Ali-arc, Denver off road, Herd, and Ute come to mind.

I have a Herd on my truck, and would go with another one in a heart beat. Been thinking about getting a custom ali-arc made for the Ford though.

I think ranch hands are hideous. they look like they attached a big bumper and then drove through every close barn gate they could then welded them on.

tough country and buckstop gets my vote. they have a lot less crap on them.

or you can build your own like I did.
