Default Inj. Lines

Well a friend of mine was on his way to work when he noticed white trailing behind him. He pulled over and before he could shut the motor down it ran out of fuel. He went from 1/4 of tank to empty really quick. With only 80k miles on it I told him to take it to the dealer for warranty. The dealer took it in and got to it in the afternoon and had it fixed in 30minutes after rolling it in to the service bay. The #4 injector line broke. I have heard of them getting stress cracks but not a complete break. Anyone else heard of them breaking?

My 05 did the same and my bubbies 06 did it to and it always seems to be the #4 injector line from what the diesel tech told us.

Mine came loose, but it had been off several times...

#4 is prone to crack because they don't have any support over their length...
