Default Engine Light

2005 CTD 68,000 miles.
Just recently cleaned engine compartment and started truck when finished had no problems. Truck sat for 4 days without being started and now the engine light is on and it runs very ruff. Any suggestions where to start checking? Thanks for all input.

Check all the injector harness connections. Use some electronic contact cleaner to aid in moisture removal.

P0192 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Input

Going to unplug it and clean with contact cleaner and try again.

shouldnt, its just saying the rail pressure is too low i think...as long as it isnt low you should be fine. You might just unplug it and blow it out with some air and then hook it back up and clear the codes and it might be good to go

Had water in electrical connections.
Is there a way I can reset the code without taking in to the dealer?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Unplugged injector harness connections and fuel rail pressure sensor, cleaned with electronic contact cleaner dried them all out with air compressor.
Thought I had it taken care of, but still a no go.
Runs perfect for about a minute then it will breakup, idles up high, then down and will run for about 5-15 minutes then die. I leave it turned off for a minute try to start again and it repeats itself. Also it is blowing white smoke instead of black smoke.
The engine code P0192 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor condition has 4 probable causes
1-Fuel pressure low-fuel pump defective
2-Fuel pressure regulator defective
3-Replace fuel filter
4-Replace Fuel Rail Pressure sensor (HOLY SMOKE $573.00 at dealer!)
Thinking about trying the filter just because it is inexpensive thing in the process of elimination. Any thoughts?

Thanks for all the help!

take it to autozone...they have a scanner they can clear codes and lights with...my buddies 06 3500 did that they other day with the same code...i cleared the code on the dash inside the truck for him by cycling the key switch, but the light stayed on...so we had to go to town anyway, and dropped by autozone and they cleared the light...its been a month and it hadnt came back..my 04.5 threw that same code up intermittently also....our trucks were runnin fine tho, think its just a glitch somewhere...damn, 573.00 for a sensor is damn crazy...if it was me, id start with the cheap things first and do the process of elimination...hell if it dont work, atleast u got a new fuel filter on there
