Bad cmp?

Will the camshaft position sensor throw a code if its bad? Is this only used on warm starts? how can this be tested?

If it's a low voltage code: time to replace
If it's a high voltage code: got a short or some other sensor caused the code
Rationality code: sensor is reading high, low, and everywhere in between

i dont have a code. just wondering if it wiil show one

If the CEL is on, one will show up. Turn the key on then off three times. On the third key on cycle, read the codes in the odometer window.
