Default DOH!

Rotated my tires on my new to me truck, jacked the front up put a jack stand under it and eased it down, felt the truck hit the jack stand, let it down slow and it still came a bit, so i stopped jacked it back up looked at the jack stand (had it under the lower axle brace) and this is what i say

So...

It is bent up a little, so i measered the length from center of bolt to center of bolt, and then measered the driver side, it is like 1/8 of an inch shorter, so i assume it effed up my alignment.. being new years eve, it is going to be atleast monday before i can get a new one.. I assume it is going to eat my tire up a little bit being out of whack.. but how bad do you guys think..

i know you guys are wondering WHY IN THE WORLD I WOULD PUT THE JACK STAND THERE??
well, my work truck (06 f350) has the same style braces and i normally put the jack stands there, and have never had them bend... so..

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

also does anyone know of where i could get one?? i called dodge, and they called it a lower control arm? 180 bux!!! maybe i could find one off a wrecked truck

Just put a bottle jack between the upper and lower control arm and push the lower back into shape.

Lower control arm is the only name I'm aware of. Likely gonna be a dealer-only item, or like you said, a salvage yard.

$180 is cheap for that.. I expected it to be a lot more. I would replace it before driving ANYWHERE... Just doesn't seem safe to drive with it bent like that.

Seems to me a good excuse for suspension mods.... Like new arms and coils.

I think I may have one, at least I remember having a new one that matched up with my 2nd gen. I'll try to find it tomorrow to see if it'll work for you.

The only one I know firsthand is the Kore leveling kit. New springs and shocks. They have suspension systems with arms too. I hear Carli is good too. These are suspensions not "lift kits"
