Default 03/04 Intercooler vs 05/08 Intercooler

Is there a difference in flow, cooling capacity, mounting etc...between the stock intercoolers? If upgraded, 2006, intercooler installed in the place of 2003, what effects if any using stock turbo jacked to 30 PSI.
If the flow & capacity are higher, will stock turbo over spool to maintain 30 PSI.
Trying to figure out if I can flow "more" cool air with intake, intercooler and intake horn upgrades using the stock turbo.
Thanks Guys.

Beter swap would be the newer turbo. You can get them pretty cheap.

The only difference that I know of is that some early 05 were plastic ends, which you do not want. I agree that you would probibally be better off trying to find a bigger charger than the upgrades you mentioned. The stock intercooler and intake horn flow fairly well, the intake definately needs gutted and a filter upgrade at the very least.

The stock intake horn is very restrictive, also stay away fromt the late 08 coolers-they have been shrunken down in thickness.
