Lookin to get the bands adjusted in the tranny (48re) how many gallons of fluid am I gonna need after the deed is done?

the whole trans. holds 17qts. but if your just droping pan it will take 4qt.

The converter drains on mine while the pans down and I end up pouring in about 6. I usually drop in 4-5 and run it and check. 9 times out of 10 it takes more.
