Dead batteries will take some time to recharge, even when they are being jumped. Either from a vehicle or battery charger. Be sure to keep the charger on, all night, on a low setting, like 2 or 5 amps.

That it is what I am doing, the charger is hooked to the driver side and it has been for 8 1/2 hours. It is now at 70% charged. I have a feeling that I better get new batteries before winter though. It has already been in the 40s at night.

Everything else aside, am I charging both batteries? I will do a voltage reading and let you know tomorrow what each one reads.

My charger was reading 100%, so I checked the voltage and both are fluctuating at 12.9-13.1 and both read 100% charged. So it is now confirmed that when you charge the driver side battery it charges both at the same time.

Truck started right up too.
