Unhappy Lift Pump??

Hi guys!! I have a Quadzilla Commander electronic guages and my fuel pressure is staying at a rock solid zero. I'm worried that my lift pump might have taken a crap. I run a Diablosport Predator on tow mode all the time. I haven't seen any decrease in power or maybe I wouldn't being I try to stay away from WOT cause of only having a stock clutch.

So if my lift pump is finished, what pump type/design/manufacturer do you recommend?? How hard is it to change?? I'm not planning any hardcore bombs so I'll just need something to keep up with the fuel I need using the programmer.

I'd also like to buy from one of our sponsors. Who has the best prices/value?? Thanks!!

I am not a Cummins guy, but if your lift pump was that bad to show NO pressure through the gauge, then you would not be driving it around IMO, so I would think there is a connectivity problem with the wiring to the gauge, as far as lift pumpps, and again I have an LB7 D-max, I run a F.A.S.S. and I have no problems out of it, and I work my truck pretty hard, haulin'...
Hope this helps...

FASS or Airdog..... Can't go wrong with either one as they both include LIFETIME warrantys.

Thanks guys. What is all involved in changing the LP?? Am I better off just replacing the whole LP with an Airdog or FASS system?? What's the deal with the Raptor setup?? Is it just a pusher pump or what exactly does the Raptor replace??

I'm trying to take the best, but most economical route for my situation and installation is a factor also.

Sorry for all the questions, but with all the options, I'm somewhat confused for what I need (something just better/ more reliable than stock). Thanks!!

If your truck is still running it probably isn't your lift pump. While it's true that some manufacturers don't use lift pumps and only use the injection pump to pull the fuel, Dodge has the lift pump to help it along. Some have reported that they have been able to run with the lift pump out. However, this causes unnecessary wear on the CP3. Have you checked for codes? If you have a P0230 or P0231 code this would indicate that your lift pump is gone. If the truck runs fine with your pressure reading zero, I would look at the fuel pressure sending unit and associated wiring.

i would suggest that you go to a autoparts place and buy a cheap fuel pressure guage and place it where you sending unit for the quad it. and double check if the lift pump is bad or the sending unit is bad. another way is crack the drain for the fuel filter housing and bump the starter if fuel keeps running out the drain then the fuel pump is feeding fuel.
