Default Pacbrake oil filter relocation issues

After thinking for about 6 months about this relocation filter kit from pac brake I decided to pull the trigger and bought it last week. To keep this post short I'll jump to the question: after installing this kit as per the instructions I started hearing a whining sound, like a bad steering pump on a car. Come to find out the oil pump is making that noise in my beloved 03 common rail. Is this normal or should I take that kit off and leave the filter as it came from factory.

Before installing this kit my truck didn't make any weird noises.

Any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated.
